The Supervisor of Elections Winner is Critical for the Future of Pinellas … by Cathi Chamberlain How many times have we been told “Florida is the Gold Standard” by our elections officials? Nobody likes bad news, so I’ll give it to you straight: nothing further could be from the truth. And more than almost anyone in Pinellas County not tied to the Supervisor of Elections (SOE) office, I should know. While most of us can’t un-see the last minute reversal of votes in 2020, I did something about it…or at least tried. Because the sanctity of our elections is the bedrock of America, I became Ambassador of Defend Florida (DF) in early 2021 helping the grassroots elections integrity organization grow to 35 counties in our state. I also led a group of 80 volunteers in Pinellas. We spent the year canvassing voters to determine how “pristine” our voter rolls are, as our SOE Julie Marcus likes to say. To our shock, we found 22% of our rolls (over 30,000 voters) were ripe for stealing. Trying to bring this to Marcus’ attention was painstakingly futile. So much for accessibility. By 2022 my team filed multiple Public Records Requests (PRRs) that would have substantiated our findings. We got estimates from the SOE for as high as $335,000! The same request was obtained by our DF counterparts in another county for $40.00. So much for transparency. We’ve continued our relentless pursuit for truth from Marcus without success to this day. You’d think we’d get more from an elected official; but, boy would you be wrong. Nearly two years ago, I was introduced to Chris Gleason who was also working on election integrity but from a data angle. An Army Veteran, serial entrepreneur, and expert in technology, data, and finance, Chris uncovered the largest campaign finance violations in American history before turning his attention to Pinellas where he’s resided for the past 20 years. His resume includes creating a search engine for lending before most banks had websites and building a secure communications platform for content creation. I’d say that qualifies him as an expert in determining elections security in our small county. What Gleason has uncovered in Pinellas would shock anyone willing to look at his work. I believe Pinellas residents owe themselves at least that. In 2023, I founded a group called Pinellas Watchdogs to serve as a checks and balances against corrupt local officials who don’t have the public’s best interest at heart. Numbering about 100 now, we recognized the importance of Chris Gleason’s work and partnered with him in pressuring our SOE to release public records that would prove one way or another whether his findings along with DF’s could be corroborated. We’ve been persistently, frustratingly stymied. What have they got to hide? Our group began urging Gleason to run for the office of SOE. It took a lot of arm-twisting but our efforts paid off. Pinellas County residents now have a choice. On August 20th, you can vote for the current non-transparent, non-accessible, data-inexperienced SOE who claims the machines have no internet connection (they do) and pushes for 100% mail-in ballots (which are the #1 cause for cheating). Or, you can vote for Chris Gleason who will expose and reverse those ill-advised practices. The choice is yours. With the well-documented influx of non-citizens to our state (and county) registering to vote illegally under our noses, we’d better wake up while we still have a chance to protect our sacred right to vote. So important is election security to me that aside from working Gleason’s campaign for Pinellas, I’ve also organized a “Slate” of SOE candidates from 10 other counties in Florida having similar backgrounds and concerns as his. This constitutes 16% of Florida and represents a troublesome state of affairs. If you live in Hillsborough, Lake, Charlotte, Collier, Lee, Alachua, St. Lucie, Palm Beach, Monroe or Seminole, you too have a choice. Watch this one-minute video to find your SOE candidate and VOTE on August 20th. https://rumble.com/v53z5bh-11-florida-county-soe-candidates-need-your-help.html Find more information about Chris Gleason from our Pinellas Watchdogs website and join us at our next meeting at 6:30pm on July 23rd at Mugs ICOT Center: PinellasWatchdogs.org. Gleason has challenged Julie Marcus to a debate in July so make sure to check daily at our website for the final date. It will be the most important debate you’ll ever see in local elections…if she shows. Read more about Gleason’s findings from his many articles here. You’ll never look at SOE Julie Marcus the same again. Vote Gleason on August 20th for free and fair local elections for elected (not selected) candidates, real transparency and a more secure future for Pinellas County.
