Welcome to Sun Valley Tarpon Springs by Mike Cloonan ( Resident ) If retirement living is what you desire, then Sun Valley Estates, located in the southeast neighborhood of Tarpon Springs is right for you.

Nestled in an old orange grove from the 1970’s, the 261 well maintained homes are minutes from Innisbrook golf course, and minutes from a well maintained city golf course.

Close to several beaches and boating options, and located down the street from Tarpon Lake.

If you don’t know where we are located you might just drive past it. Our tree lined entrance is right off US 19 north of Klosterman. Our directions always include ” near the donut shoppe” !

Many homes have open or screened lanais. Others have outdoor side patio areas, along with a carport for your car and the golf cart. There is a post office on site, a laundry and fitness area. Other pluses are a library, pickleball and boccee courts, a large pool and a clubhouse with many weekly activities and excursions planned throughout the year. There are several pool tables for down time with your neighbors. We have competition shuffleboard with several neighboring communities. We are also “dog friendly.”

There is a nice small lake in the back section. Sitting on the back porch watching all the local birds, turtles and various fish is relaxing. You may even see a kayak or two out fishing.

What are some of our activities you may ask? Excursions to the Clearwater baseball stadium, trolley trips to various local holiday exhibits. Yoga, water yoga, euchre, dominoes and poker are very popular activities. We do a once a month bowling trip. There are holiday and “theme” parties in the clubhouse. Karaoke, live bands, board game nights. We have a yearly talent show for those residents who enjoy acting. There is also an active Neighborhood/Crimewatch program for resident safety.

If this is your ideal retirement option, then Sun Valley is for you.
