Volunteers Wanted – Help Keep Florida’s Seniors Connected
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Volunteers Wanted – Help Keep Florida’s Seniors Connected
Tampa Bay, FL — Senior Voice America, celebrating more than 45 years serving Florida’s senior community, has launched SVA Connect, a local outreach effort that brings neighbors together through simple acts of friendship.
SVA Connect is looking for volunteers who can give just a little time each month to make a big difference. Volunteers may share a phone call, visit a senior center, or help an older neighbor stay engaged with the community. No medical skills or caregiving experience are required—just patience, kindness, and a willingness to listen.
“Our readers have always told us connection is what keeps them going,” says Kevin Leonard, Publisher of Senior Voice America. “SVA Connect gives people an easy, safe way to reach out and remind someone they still matter.”
All participation follows the SVA Connect Safety & Conduct Handbook, which emphasizes privacy, boundaries, and respect. Volunteers receive simple orientation and ongoing support from the SVA Connect team.
If you enjoy conversation, community, and helping others feel less alone, this is your chance to get involved. Volunteers Wanted https://todayssenioramerica.org/SVAConnect_Volunteer 📞 727-232-0100 📧 hello@svaconnect.org 🌐 www.SVAConnect.org
